Here I am trying to look not dopey at the pre-rally gathering. MK was chuckling on the other side of the camera.
MK: What are you doing?
Me: Concentrating.
MK: On what?
Me: Not looking like an imbecile.
I think I ended up looking like I'm holding in a fart.
But that's neither here nor there. In the end, I hope that all of the energy and goodwill generated on Saturday around the country continues to build and we realize our goal of equal rights for gays!

OMG!...you are so adorable! wtf are you talking about looking like you wanna fart?? it's so nice to finally see your lovely self...holy shit and that made me smile...
so, my dearest JFP, i replied to you at my spot...
as for your post here, it looks like you had a good time at the pre-rally....i wish we Canadians had a bigger voice to support our gay American compadres.....but know we are there in good old-fashioned Canadian gay spirit.
hugs,
always ~wicked~
I agree.
That's a great photo of you, Jennifer!(It's fun to think of MK laughing while trying to take your picture.)
As for the rally...I keep feeling better and better about it as I see how MANY people participated. It's actually a bit hard to believe that we haven't seen more media coverage. Hmmm...
Wick & H, you two are just too nice to me :D
As for the lack of media coverage...We had one tv station covering the rally/march and zero newspapers. I guess the Post-Gazette is too busy covering the big news stories like how the new open beer bottle law will effect Steelers tailgating parties.
Still, I feel so honored to have been a part the national rally. It effected me more than I thought it would. I dare to hope now :)
Gee whiz jennifer. You seem a little sentimental. :D Good girl. Keep on fighting the good fight!
Gypsy! Where have you been? And yes, I'm horribly sentimental. I'm like a deep fried Twinkie: Crusty on the outside, but filled with goo that has a half life measured in deep time ;)
